En-Route to Villeneuve - September/October 2012 

Two couples from Troon made long motor trips in France en route to Villeneuve Sur Lot:

Brian and Thérèse Ward drove from Boulogne Sur Mer via Villeneuve to attend the Pétanque championships in Marseille

Here are some of the places they passed through and things they did on the way:

Brântome

They assisted with the grape harvest...

Visited Toulouse...

And represented Scotland at Pétanque in Marseille


Jenifer and Niall MacPherson drove from the Côte D'Azur via Montpellier to Villeneuve then on to Benqué in the Pyrénées, before returning home via Castelnaudary to Carcassone:

They started in Monaco..

...Admired the new trams in Montpellier, where Jenifer spent a year as an assistante in 1968

...Climbed to 2,500 metres above the Col du Tourmalet in the Pyrénées

..And visited Castelnaudary, home of the famous Cassoulet, before flying home to Prestwick.
